1. Stairs – Installing a secure gate at the top and bottom of your stairs is crucial to keeping you mobile toddler from getting hurt. Until he is comfortable going up and down stairs and until you are comfortable with him doing it by himself, a locked gate is the best way to ensure their safety.
2. Electrical Outlets – It’s important to make a sweep through your home to ensure that all electrical outlets are properly covered, so as to prevent electrocution to a small finger that may find its way inside. Now would also be a good time to check your window screens to make sure they are free from holes and secure, so as not to allow a small child to fall out if leaned upon.

Pools are one of the most dangerous home amenities when it comes to children, which is why you should not waste any time installing one. There are a variety of options to choose from including rot iron, mesh and aluminum fences. All of which will provide a strong and secure barrier to your pool.
6. Hazardous Items – It is crucial to keep cleaning products, bleach, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, scissors, nail polish, mouthwash, vitamins, medicine, etc. out of reach and away from curious toddlers. These types of items are dangerous if ingested and can cause serious injury if not caught right away. It’s better to avoid these types of potential situations, by keeping these items in a secure location that can’t be reached by a crawling, walking or even climbing child.
