That is some serious memory work. Pick up a book of crossword puzzles and be sure that it has beginner, intermediate, and advanced level puzzles. Crossword puzzles can be very frustrating if they are too hard for you to do. You need to first be rewarded by completing several puzzles successfully. To do this you need puzzles of beginner level status.

Another effective game for exercising and straightening your memory is sudoku. Sudoku is a numbers game and is extremely addictive. Because it’s a numbers game it hits your brain from a different angle than crossword puzzles. Sudoku puzzles also forces you to keep several bits of information in your short-term memory as you attempt to complete it. Do a crossword puzzle and a sudoku puzzle each day in your brain will become a powerful machine.

Like exercise you are going to get the best results if you work at this everyday. Start doing one begin a sudoku puzzle and one begin a crossword puzzle each day until they are no longer challenging. Then, you can move on to more difficult and challenging puzzles.
